Artifact Uprising, LLC experienced a data security incident that may have compromised some of its customers’ personal information. The incident, identified on July 12, 2024, was linked to a third-party software vulnerability affecting the company’s website. Artifact Uprising swiftly contained the breach and conducted a thorough investigation, determining on July 26, 2024, that certain credit card purchases made between June 14 and July 12, 2024, were potentially exposed to unauthorized access by a third party. By July 31, 2024, the company identified the individuals affected by the breach.

The data that may have been compromised includes customers’ first and last names, addresses, credit card numbers, CVV codes, and expiration dates. The company emphasized that the incident was isolated to its website and took immediate steps to secure the platform once the breach was detected. Artifact Uprising reassured its customers that they are committed to the protection of personal information and acted quickly to mitigate potential harm.

In response to the incident, Artifact Uprising has advised customers to take precautions to safeguard their information. The company provided detailed recommendations, including reviewing the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on placing a fraud alert or security freeze on credit files. These steps are aimed at helping affected individuals prevent further unauthorized access or misuse of their personal data.

For additional information or assistance, Artifact Uprising has made a dedicated helpline available for customers. They can reach out to the company at 866-574-6966 during business hours to address any concerns or queries related to the breach.
