Arthur Chapman Announces Security Incident

Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala P.A., a Minneapolis-based law firm, has announced a data security incident that may have affected certain individuals’ personal information. On or about November 21, 2023, the firm experienced a network intrusion that compromised some of its systems. Upon discovering the breach, Arthur Chapman took immediate action to secure its network and engaged third-party specialists to assess the scope and nature of the event. The investigation revealed that certain personal data, including names, Social Security numbers, health records, and financial information, may have been accessed without authorization.

While there is no evidence indicating that the exposed information was misused, the firm contacted individuals for whom it had contact information to notify them of the potential breach. For individuals without contact details, this public notice serves as an alert. The firm has stated that it is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information and is taking all necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

In addition to notifying affected individuals, Arthur Chapman has implemented additional security measures to strengthen its systems against future intrusions. The firm is continuously working with specialists to ensure the integrity of its network and to address any vulnerabilities that may exist. These proactive measures are designed to mitigate risks and ensure the ongoing protection of sensitive data.

Arthur Chapman remains focused on safeguarding personal information and maintaining trust with its clients. The firm has made efforts to enhance its cybersecurity protocols and is committed to being transparent with those impacted by the breach.
