ADD Systems Reports Dual Data Breach Events

ADD Systems recently notified individuals of two separate data incidents that might have compromised personal information. The first incident, discovered on March 21, 2024, involved a network disruption that hindered access to certain systems. In response, the company secured the network and hired a third-party forensic firm to investigate the breach. Despite this, a second disruption occurred on May 14, 2024, while the initial investigation was still underway. This prompted further security measures and another forensic review.

The investigations revealed that sensitive information related to current and former employees may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. The potentially exposed data includes names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, bank account information, and other identification used for I-9 forms. Despite these findings, there is currently no evidence suggesting that the accessed information has been misused.

In response to these incidents, ADD Systems has taken steps to enhance network security and conducted thorough investigations. As a precaution, the company has arranged for affected individuals to receive complimentary online identity monitoring services for a specified period, provided by Kroll. However, individuals must activate these services themselves due to privacy regulations.

To protect against potential misuse, ADD Systems advises individuals to monitor their account statements and credit history regularly. If any suspicious activity is detected, individuals should promptly change their passwords, notify their financial institutions, and report any incidents to local law enforcement or the state Attorney General. Additional protective measures and resources are detailed in the accompanying information provided by ADD Systems.
