GlobalX Hacked Over Deportation Flights

Hacker Exposes Data from TeleMessage Apps

GlobalX, an airline linked to deportation flights under the Trump administration, has reportedly been hacked. The breach was first revealed by 404 Media, which noted that the hackers defaced the airline’s website and shared stolen data. The hackers, claiming to be affiliated with the group Anonymous, posted a message referencing legal rulings related to wrongful deportations. They argued that GlobalX and its staff ignored judicial orders demanding the return of deported individuals.

The defacement message was linked to a series of court decisions that required the Trump administration to reverse wrongful deportations, particularly to El Salvador.

The hackers’ message expressed strong opposition to the government’s actions, labeling them as part of a broader “fascist” agenda. The incident highlights tensions over controversial deportation policies and actions taken to resist them. GlobalX, the airline in question, had been integral to the deportation flights that faced widespread scrutiny.

While the exact nature of the data stolen in the hack remains unclear, the stolen material has raised concerns about sensitive information. The hack adds to the ongoing debates surrounding governmental accountability in deportation practices. However, GlobalX has not yet responded to media inquiries regarding the breach, leaving many questions unanswered.

The lack of response from the airline raises further concerns about their ability to handle security incidents.

The involvement of Anonymous in this attack draws attention to the ongoing use of hacktivism in protesting government actions. This breach also underscores the vulnerabilities faced by organizations involved in sensitive operations such as deportation logistics. It remains to be seen whether the hack will lead to legal or policy changes regarding deportation practices or airline security measures.
