FAKO-M Getränke Disrupted by Cyberattack

FAKO-M Getränke GmbH & Co. KG, a beverage wholesaler based in Neuss, Germany, was targeted by a cyberattack on the night of April 12 to 13, 2025. The attack has caused significant disruption, rendering the company’s IT infrastructure across Neuss, Bocholt, and Hamm inoperable. Authorities, including the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), have been notified and are assisting in investigating the incident. In the interim, FAKO-M is continuing business operations under emergency procedures, with manual delivery efforts underway despite the lack of systems.

Customers are being updated through the company’s website regarding ordering and contact options, and they can still place orders through the B2B and B2C shop systems. FAKO-M’s Managing Director, Mr. Siebigteroth, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering ordered goods manually despite the challenges posed by the cyber attack. While the IT disruption has affected some services, customers can still reach FAKO-M by phone at 02131 934-0 for inquiries and assistance. The company assured its customers that they are working hard to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.

The cyberattack underscores the growing risks faced by businesses in the digital age, especially as companies increasingly rely on complex IT systems for their operations. The fact that FAKO-M was able to continue operations manually, despite the disruption, highlights the resilience of the business and its commitment to customer service. The ongoing investigation by the State Criminal Police Office aims to clarify the details of the attack and its potential impact.

At this time, FAKO-M has not provided specific details on the nature of the cyber attack or the potential data breach. However, the company’s quick response and transparent communication with customers demonstrate its focus on managing the situation effectively. FAKO-M’s customers in Neuss, Bocholt, Hamm, and surrounding areas will be updated with further information as the investigation progresses.
