Kewadin Casino Network Halted by Data Breach

Cameron & Mittleman LLP recently notified its clients of a cyberattack that compromised personal information. The breach was detected on December 13, 2024, when unusual activity on the firm’s internal network raised alarms. The firm immediately took steps to secure the network and launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity specialists. Additionally, law enforcement was notified to aid in the response and recovery process.

After conducting a thorough forensic review of the affected data, the firm determined that personal information, including names and addresses, may have been exposed during the cyberattack. The incident was further analyzed, and by January 29, 2025, the firm confirmed that sensitive data belonging to clients might have been involved.

The firm has since been working diligently to ensure the safety and privacy of those affected.

In response to the breach, Cameron & Mittleman LLP has been offering affected individuals complimentary access to credit monitoring services. These services include Single Bureau Credit Monitoring, Credit Reports, and Credit Scores, available at no cost for a period of 24 months. The monitoring services will notify individuals of any changes to their credit files in real-time, providing added protection against potential identity theft.

To enroll in these free services, individuals are required to visit a designated website and follow the provided instructions. The firm has emphasized the importance of enrolling within 90 days of receiving the notification to benefit from these protections. In addition to credit monitoring, proactive fraud assistance through Cyberscout, a company specializing in fraud remediation, is available for individuals needing further support in case of fraudulent activities.
