Magic Vacation Title (MVT) recently informed its customers about a potential data security incident related to its third-party IT provider. The company discovered unauthorized activity within the provider’s network around July 23, 2024, prompting MVT to launch an immediate investigation. External specialists were engaged to assist with determining the scope of the breach and the extent of data exposure. Although no evidence of fraudulent misuse was found, the company is taking steps to notify affected individuals and help protect their personal information.

The data potentially impacted in the incident included customer names along with other specific details. MVT emphasized that, while the event was serious, there is no current indication that the compromised information has been misused. As part of its efforts to prevent any future incidents, MVT has worked to strengthen its network security and ensure the protection of sensitive data in its possession.

The company’s proactive approach includes providing resources for impacted individuals to safeguard their information.

To further protect customers, MVT is offering complimentary credit monitoring services to those affected by the breach. The services are available through a dedicated enrollment process, with a clear deadline of May 3, 2025, to sign up. MVT also encourages individuals to remain vigilant against identity theft by regularly reviewing their credit reports and financial statements for any signs of suspicious activity. The company urges individuals to immediately report any unusual findings to the relevant financial institutions.

While this event has understandably raised concerns among affected customers, MVT expressed its commitment to resolving the issue and ensuring the security of all customer information going forward. The company’s priority remains the safety and protection of the data entrusted to it, and it continues to offer support to those impacted. For further assistance, customers are encouraged to contact MVT’s dedicated help line during business hours for more details about the incident and the steps they can take to protect themselves.
