Ark Infotech Acquires Vantyr for Security

Ark Infotech LLC has announced its acquisition of Vantyr, a San Francisco-based company specializing in securing non-human identities in cloud and SaaS environments. This strategic move follows Ark’s earlier acquisition of slauth.io in December 2023, reinforcing its position in the cloud security market. With Vantyr’s focus on app-to-app connections, particularly for critical business applications like Salesforce, Ark aims to enhance its cybersecurity portfolio and address the growing challenges organizations face in managing security across multiple SaaS platforms.

Founded in 2022 by a team of serial entrepreneurs, Vantyr provides a unique solution that enables businesses to gain visibility into their SaaS environments. The platform offers features such as user and integration inventory, risk scoring, and data flow mapping, allowing organizations to audit and protect their applications from potential security threats. This acquisition is particularly timely as businesses increasingly grapple with issues like shadow IT and app-to-app security risks, emphasizing the need for robust security measures in the SaaS ecosystem.

Raj Natarajan, President and CEO of Ark, highlighted that integrating Vantyr’s technology with slauth.io’s IAM capabilities will create a comprehensive security solution. This collaboration is expected to better equip clients in managing access and safeguarding data flows within their SaaS applications. Mark Balovnev, CEO of Vantyr, echoed this sentiment, stating that their combined expertise would provide organizations with a simple yet effective approach to SaaS security.

Overall, the acquisition of Vantyr positions Ark Infotech as a formidable player in the cybersecurity industry, particularly in the realm of cloud and SaaS applications. The partnership aims to deliver enhanced security capabilities, ensuring that organizations can protect their valuable digital assets while optimizing their business operations. As the demand for secure SaaS solutions grows, Ark’s expanded offerings are set to provide greater value to clients navigating the complexities of modern cybersecurity challenges.
