Lavelle Industries Reports Data Incident

Lavelle Industries recently experienced a significant data breach in which sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized party. The breach was first detected on March 17, 2024, when Lavelle discovered suspicious activity within its computer systems. An investigation revealed that the unauthorized access occurred between March 10 and March 17, 2024, potentially exposing various types of personal data, including names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and financial account information. In response, Lavelle began reviewing the affected data to determine which individuals were impacted.

Following the investigation, Lavelle posted a notice about the breach on its website and took steps to inform affected individuals. On August 22, 2024, the company mailed notification letters to those whose information was compromised, providing details about the types of data involved in the breach. Lavelle is offering complimentary credit monitoring services to those affected, helping them safeguard their personal information and mitigate the potential risks of identity theft or fraud.

The specific nature of the breached information varies depending on the individual, but Lavelle has been transparent in its efforts to notify and assist those impacted by the incident. The company is committed to ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to address the breach and provide support to affected individuals. Lavelle’s public notice also includes a link to the form breach notification letter filed with relevant authorities.

The company employs over 200 individuals and is dedicated to problem-solving through collaborative engineering support. Lavelle continues to work on enhancing its security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
