Axip Energy Services Security Incident Alert

Axip Energy Services, LP, formerly known as Valerus Compression Services, LP, has reached out to inform individuals about a recent security incident that may have compromised some personal information. The notification specifically targets former employees, limited partners, contractors, and directors of Axip. Acknowledging the importance of privacy, the company assures recipients that it values the security of their information and is committed to transparency regarding the incident.

Upon discovering the breach, Axip promptly initiated a response strategy, collaborating with forensic consultants to investigate and address the security issue. The company took immediate steps to contain and eliminate the threat while confirming the integrity of its network environment. Additionally, Axip has reported the incident to federal law enforcement authorities and is implementing enhanced security measures to protect sensitive information stored within its systems.

To address concerns and restore trust among affected individuals, Axip is offering complimentary credit monitoring services for a period of 24 months through CyEx. The details and enrollment instructions for this service are included in the communication sent to individuals. This proactive measure aims to mitigate potential risks associated with the incident and provide support to those impacted.

Axip encourages recipients to review the enclosed “Other Important Information” document for further recommendations on protecting their personal information. This includes guidance from the Federal Trade Commission regarding identity theft prevention and instructions on placing a fraud alert or security freeze on their credit files. The company advises individuals to remain vigilant by monitoring their account statements and credit reports for any unauthorized activities and to promptly report any suspicious occurrences to their financial institutions. For further assistance, a dedicated incident response line has been established to address inquiries related to the incident.
