CISA Hosts ICT Supply Chain Conference

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will host its first annual Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Task Force Conference on June 12, 2024, at the MITRE Corporation in McLean, Virginia. This event will focus on enhancing global ICT supply chain security and will feature insights from industry leaders and government officials, including CISA Director Jen Easterly.

The ICT SCRM Task Force, established by CISA in 2018, is a key body for collaboration between government and industry to develop strategies and tools for mitigating supply chain risks. The Task Force has produced several critical resources, such as the Hardware Bill of Materials (HBOM) Framework and a Vendor SCRM Template. The upcoming conference will showcase these developments and foster discussions on the latest challenges and innovations in ICT supply chain management.

Key conference highlights include a keynote address by CISA Director Jen Easterly, panel discussions on topics like AI’s role in supply chains, and networking opportunities for attendees. The event aims to explore trends and challenges shaping the future of ICT supply chain security while encouraging collaboration across sectors.

CISA emphasizes the importance of supply chain security as a top priority, with the conference serving as a vital step towards enhancing national security. The agency is enthusiastic about bringing together a diverse group of experts and leaders to address the complexities of supply chain resilience, ultimately aiming to make the nation more secure through collective efforts.
