Microsoft Resumes Rolling Out Win 11 Update

Microsoft has resumed the rollout of the KB5039302 update for Windows 11, addressing initial issues that caused devices to enter reboot loops. The update is now being selectively offered, excluding users of virtualization software such as CloudPC and Azure Virtual Desktop, where the bug was most prevalent. This cautious approach aims to prevent further disruptions while ensuring a smoother update experience for most users.

In a recent update from Windows Message Center, Microsoft clarified that KB5039302 is again available via Windows Update and Windows Update for Business, except for systems identified as potentially affected by the reboot issue. For users running Hyper-V virtual machines on specific processor types, the update may still be paused to mitigate risks.

However, users are advised to proceed with caution as another bug affecting Taskbar display has surfaced, particularly impacting Windows N edition and systems with disabled ‘Media Features’. Microsoft recommends delaying the update installation if these conditions apply, while they actively work on resolving both issues for an upcoming release.

As Microsoft continues to refine the Windows 11 update process, they emphasize ongoing efforts to deliver reliable software updates. Users are encouraged to monitor Windows Update for availability and to stay informed about any further developments or fixes provided by Microsoft to ensure a seamless update experience on their devices.
