A recent report by Kaspersky highlights the significant challenges faced by geographically distributed businesses in managing their networks. According to the findings, a staggering 59% of such businesses encounter network issues on a monthly basis. These issues range from network outages and lost connections to poor service performance, affecting the smooth operation of these companies.
The study reveals that nearly half of the businesses surveyed experience network problems between one and three times a month, with a smaller percentage reporting weekly issues. Notably, network failures or outages are the most prevalent, affecting 55% of the companies surveyed. Additionally, connectivity losses, degraded service performance, inadequate connection capacity, and network shutdowns are reported by significant portions of respondents.
Maxim Kaminsky, business development manager at Kaspersky, emphasizes the importance of network infrastructure for modern businesses, highlighting the risks associated with network downtime and IT issues, including reputational and financial losses. Kaminsky stresses the need for timely measures to secure networks and implement solutions for centralized and automated network management, providing businesses with a clear view of their multi-site IT infrastructure.
To address these challenges, Kaspersky experts recommend utilizing dedicated solutions capable of managing the entire corporate network and integrating various communication channels and network functions. This research underscores the critical importance of robust network management solutions in maintaining the efficiency and security of geographically dispersed business operations.
