Atraf Data Leak Alert

The Israeli LGBTQ dating app, Atraf, has fallen victim to a major data breach, jeopardizing the personal information of over 669,000 users. The breach exposed a range of sensitive data, from user details like names, addresses, and phone numbers to explicit content such as plain text passwords and even payment card data without the card numbers. Users are advised to promptly change their passwords to mitigate risks associated with this extensive data exposure.

The breach, allegedly claimed by a user on Breach Forums, highlights the severity of the incident, amplifying the potential threat to affected individuals. While awaiting official confirmation from the company, Hackread.com’s investigation reveals a complex array of compromised data, underscoring the need for immediate action by Atraf users to secure their accounts and information. This breach poses a tangible risk to user privacy and security, with the potential for online harassment, email hacking, and other malicious activities due to the inclusion of clear text passwords and personal details in the leaked data.

Hackread.com’s findings indicate that the leaked records trace back to 2021, aligning with previous ransom demands made by Black Shadow in November 2021. This consistency raises concerns over the legitimacy of the exposed data and emphasizes the urgency for affected users to increase their vigilance and implement security measures. As Hackread.com engages with Atraf to address the breach, users are strongly advised to exercise caution, update their passwords, and remain wary of suspicious emails or requests that may exploit the compromised information for further cybercrime
