Cyera, a data security company, announced a significant milestone as it raised $300 million in a Series C funding round, reaching a valuation of $1.4 billion. This achievement follows previous funding rounds, totaling $160 million, as the company emerged from stealth mode in 2022 with $60 million and secured an additional $100 million in 2023.
The latest funding round was led by Coatue and saw participation from prominent investors including Spark Capital, Georgian, AT&T Ventures, Sequoia, Accel, Redpoint, and Cyberstarts. Cyera specializes in providing an agentless, cloud-native platform that utilizes APIs to continuously discover, classify, and secure data across various environments such as cloud, SaaS, data lakes, and on-premises setups.
Cyera’s platform offers comprehensive data security solutions, including data security posture management, data privacy, data detection and response, and data access governance capabilities. With this funding, Cyera aims to strengthen its position as an industry leader by expanding its global team and further enhancing its data security platform to meet the evolving needs of security teams.
