Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has joined forces with the American Samoa Department of Homeland Security to roll out the Regional Resiliency Assessment Program (RRAP). This initiative marks a significant stride in fortifying the resilience of critical infrastructure, fostering collaboration across public and private sectors. The primary objective of the CISA RRAP is to cultivate a profound understanding of regional critical infrastructure and implement actionable measures to enhance resilience. The engagement involves a diverse array of stakeholders, ranging from private sector entities, emergency response and recovery entities, to academic institutions.
The RRAP process unfolds over a year, encompassing meticulous data collection and analysis of critical infrastructure within the designated region. It establishes partnerships with federal, state, local, and territorial government agencies, as well as private sector organizations. The program provides ongoing technical support to augment the resilience of identified infrastructure components. The culmination of RRAP activities results in a Resiliency Assessment report, a comprehensive document outlining project outcomes, insights, and actionable strategies to address regional resilience gaps.
