The attack, executed on Sunday, aimed at the fleet stationed in Bahrain, with the hackers alleging concerns about the fleet’s impact on maritime navigation in the West Asia region. The group claimed to have accessed confidential documents, including images and maps from within the American military base. Releasing a portion of the acquired data, the hackers declared their intent to support resistance groups in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.
The hackers justified their attack as a response to the United States‘ backing of Israel’s aggressive campaign against the Gaza Strip, resulting in numerous casualties. Tensions in West Asia have escalated, leading to resistance groups initiating attacks on bases hosting US military personnel. Yemeni armed forces have launched a maritime campaign targeting ships affiliated with Israel.
