The ASP (Azienda sanitaria locale) promptly informed authorities and initiated a crisis team to manage the situation. IT technicians were instructed to assess the extent of the breach and implement protective measures, with the possibility of service difficulties on January 29.
ASP Director General Antonello Maraldo apologized for the inconvenience, assuring users of collaborative efforts with regional health entities and a commitment to providing updates and necessary provisions to mitigate any long-term impact.
Despite the immediate response, ASP acknowledges potential service challenges on January 29 due to the cyber attack. The Strategic Directorate established an internal crisis unit to coordinate with delivery point directors and manage information acquisition in a coordinated manner. District representatives were advised to equip themselves with alternative tools if critical issues arise in the IT system. ASP emphasizes its dedication to resolving the problem collaboratively with other Lucanian companies, the Department, and the Region, expressing regret for any inconvenience caused to users.
