The breach included sensitive information like Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers, as well as health insurance and general health information.
The incident was first noticed on August 27th, 2023, after disruptions in network servers were detected, leading the company to initiate an investigation with the aid of third-party cybersecurity experts.
The investigation revealed that an unauthorized party had accessed Keenan’s internal systems for a period of six days, from August 21st to August 27th, 2023.
During this period, the intruder managed to obtain personal information stored within the system. In response to the breach, Keenan and Associates took steps to contain the incident and informed law enforcement authorities.
