BrickLink Website Potentially Hacked

BrickLink, a prominent LEGO marketplace and fan community, is currently facing issues with its website, which is believed to be linked to a hacking incident. While the precise details of the breach are still unclear, the company has taken its website offline as a precautionary measure and has initiated an investigation.

Users who attempted to access the site were greeted with a message stating that BrickLink was looking into unusual activity and would provide further information once available. Reports from several users have surfaced indicating that they received ransom messages purportedly from the hackers. The messages threaten to delete items and store inventories unless a payment of €50,000 in cryptocurrency is made to a Bitcoin account within 30 minutes.

As a result, BrickLink appears to have taken its site offline as a preventive measure to address the intrusion. Despite these developments, BrickLink has not yet released an official statement regarding the breach, the extent of the compromise, or any potential data exposure.

As the investigation continues, users are urged to exercise caution and avoid clicking on links or attachments in emails or messages from unfamiliar senders. BrickLink has not provided a timeline for when its website will be back online.
