Tyto Acquires Cybersecurity Firm MindPoint

Tyto Athene, a federal systems integrator specializing in digital transformation solutions, has announced its acquisition of MindPoint Group. MindPoint, a leading provider of managed cybersecurity services to U.S. federal agencies, will enhance Tyto’s cybersecurity capabilities and expand its presence in the federal civilian market. This acquisition aligns with Tyto’s mission to deliver comprehensive IT and cybersecurity services to defense, national security, and public safety agencies.

Since its founding in 2009, MindPoint has established itself as a trusted cybersecurity advisor with a reputation for delivering top-tier services in cyber defense, risk management, and security operations. The company, certified to ISO 9001 standards, offers a wide range of cybersecurity solutions, including managed Security Operations Center (SOC) services. This expertise will complement Tyto’s existing capabilities and bolster its service offerings.

Tyto CEO Dennis Kelly expressed enthusiasm about the integration, noting that MindPoint’s customer-centric approach and advanced cybersecurity solutions fit well with Tyto’s mission-focused culture. The acquisition will allow Tyto to offer a more integrated cyber solution to meet the evolving needs of its federal clients and strengthen its overall security posture.

The deal, expected to close by the end of June 2024, is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Arlington Capital Partners, Tyto’s parent company, has long admired MindPoint’s technical prowess and dedication, seeing this acquisition as a strategic move to support Tyto’s growth and further penetrate the federal law enforcement sector.
