Roland DGA Corporation has reported a potential data breach affecting customer information. On January 16, 2024, unusual activity was detected on the company’s online store, which is managed by the third-party provider Sana Commerce. An investigation revealed that unauthorized code was present on the store from July 26, 2023, to January 17, 2024. This code could have captured transaction information from customers who used credit cards during this period.
The compromised information primarily involves transaction details from purchases made on the online store. Although Roland DGA has no confirmed evidence that unauthorized parties accessed or acquired this information, they are notifying customers as a precaution. To address the issue, Sana Commerce has reset administrative passwords and implemented enhanced security measures to prevent future incidents.
In response to the breach, Roland DGA is offering affected customers complimentary access to credit monitoring services. These services include Single Bureau Credit Monitoring, Credit Report, and Credit Score, which will provide alerts for 24 months in case of any changes to credit files. Additionally, Roland DGA has enlisted Cyberscout, a TransUnion company, to offer proactive fraud assistance to support customers in case of any issues.
Customers are advised to monitor their credit card statements for any suspicious activity and report unauthorized transactions to their financial institutions. They are also encouraged to enroll in the free credit monitoring and identity protection services provided by Roland DGA to safeguard their personal information. Detailed instructions for enrolling in these services and additional resources are included in the notification sent to customers.
