The company is involved in various sectors such as powerplant maintenance, turbine and generator services, and municipal water systems, and is part of O’Connor Companies, which includes Beacon Piping and O’Connor Safety. Despite the breach, O’Connor continues to operate with over 50 employees across its various service sectors.
The breach review, completed on January 24, 2025, confirmed that the exposed information included individuals’ names, Social Security numbers, and financial account details. This data was located within the compromised systems, though the specific individuals affected are still being identified. The company has since notified impacted individuals, providing details about the compromised data and offering them 12 months of complimentary identity monitoring services.
On January 31, 2025, O’Connor began mailing data breach notification letters to individuals who were potentially affected by the breach. The company is actively working to mitigate any future security risks and has taken steps to strengthen its network security. The breach notice assures individuals that O’Connor takes privacy and data security seriously, and it continues to monitor and address the situation with the help of cybersecurity experts.
