Linus Torvalds announced the release of Linux 6.15-rc3, which brings bug fixes and minor adjustments to the Linux kernel. The release, made just after Easter Sunday, arrived on schedule, with Torvalds humorously referencing the holiday. Although not a major update, this release focuses on incremental improvements and stability, addressing issues across several subsystems. Torvalds mentioned that there were no significant changes but highlighted updates to the ublk driver for more efficient user-space block drivers.

The update to the ublk driver is a key feature of the release, fixing some issues and updating selftests for improved reliability. The bulk of changes in this release are minor tweaks, often just a few lines of code, scattered across different areas of the kernel. Torvalds emphasized that the development cycle for Linux 6.15 has been smooth, with no major bugs or regressions appearing so far.
