Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) has been the victim of a ransomware attack by the Black Cat group, which has connections to Russia.
The incident, which occurred on February 6, affected a computer system used for clinical patient images and other sensitive data. LVHN is refusing to pay the ransom, which experts recommend to prevent such groups from profiting and to make the attacks less attractive.
