Windows Hello is a more personal and secure way to gain instant access to your Windows 11 and 10 devices through the use of a PIN, facial recognition, or fingerprint. You must create a PIN as part of the setup process for fingerprint or facial recognition sign-in, but you can also sign in with just your PIN.
Because your PIN is only associated with one device and is backed up for recovery with your Microsoft account, these options make it easier and safer to sign into your PC.
