Darrell Keeling is the VP, Information Security (CISO) and HIPAA Security Officer for Parkview Health in Northeast Indiana. As Chief Information Security Officer of Parkview Health he is responsible for creating his health system information security strategic plan. His mission is to be viewed as a business enabler through the introduction of strategic, innovative technologies and processes that protect what matters, while providing an uninterrupted secure patient and employee technology experience. He is a results driven, recognized security executive who brings a unique combination of business acumen and security expertise with more than 20 years security-specific experience across a wide range of security disciplines. He is responsible for leading a diverse team of information technology professionals that are responsible for providing security administration, governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, quality management, and threat management for his health system. Before joining Parkview Health, he served as the Chief Information Security Officer Land’s End, Chief Information Security Officer for Brown-Forman, Senior Information Security Officer for Farm Credit Services of Mid America and Global IT Manager, Infrastructure and Security for Jim Beam.
Darrell supports the information security community by serving as an adjunct instructor for Carnegie Mellon University Executive CISO Program and advisory board member for Carnegie Mellon University Heinz College CISO Executive Program, AEHIS advisory board member, Indiana InfraGard advisory board member, Kentucky, International System Security Association (ISSA) chapter and is a governing body member of the CISO Executive Summit. He also serves as a guest speaker and volunteer at Ivy Tech and University of; Louisville, McKendree, Bellarmine to promote and educate future security professionals on the importance of information security and privacy in today’s business.
Darrell has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems (BS) from McKendree University and Associate of Science, Electronic Engineering Technology (AS) from Brown-Mackie College. He is certified through Carnegie Mellon’s CISO Executive Education and Certification Program, CISO Institute at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Dartmouth College Business Engagement and the Information Security Professional programs, along with industry certifications such as; Healthcare Information and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/IT). He is also a proud veteran of the United States Army.
