One Massachusetts resident was directly notified about the breach on July 22, 2024. This notification included details about the compromised information, and a formal letter was provided to the affected individual. Clear Rate also informed the FBI about the incident as part of their response protocol.
In response to the breach, Clear Rate implemented several security measures to mitigate future risks. These included changing all passwords and deploying enhanced endpoint monitoring software. The company also emphasized its commitment to improving security to prevent similar incidents from occurring again.
The affected individual was offered 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through TransUnion.
