Cyberattack on Four Indian Defense Websites

The City Council of Badajoz, in Spain, is working diligently to recover its IT systems after a ransomware incident disrupted operations. The incident was detected within the internal network of the City Hall and its autonomous organizations. Immediately upon discovery, the IT services team began taking the necessary steps to restore the affected systems and prevent further damage. The team is actively working to bring the systems back online and ensure that all security protocols are followed during the process.

As a result of the ransomware attack, administrative deadlines have been suspended until the systems are fully restored. The City Council has also announced that its electronic headquarters and registry are temporarily non-operational, which has affected the ability to process online administrative tasks. In response, servers were shut down according to established security protocols to minimize the risk of data leaks or further compromise. These precautionary measures were essential to maintaining the integrity of the Council’s data and services.

The incident has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and the City Council has pledged to provide regular updates as the recovery process unfolds.

The IT team is working tirelessly to ensure that all systems are properly secured and restored to full functionality. While the recovery process may take some time, the Council is committed to addressing the situation as efficiently as possible to minimize disruption to citizens and administrative operations.

The City Council has reassured the public that all necessary actions are being taken to protect sensitive data and ensure the safety of its network. As the recovery efforts continue, the City Council will provide ongoing updates and work closely with the relevant authorities to resolve the situation. The IT team’s priority remains restoring critical services while ensuring the security of all affected systems.
