On August 14, 2024, the Accompio group of companies acquired r-tec IT Security GmbH, with locations in Wuppertal and Sofia. This acquisition allows r-tec to take the lead in cybersecurity within the accompio IT group. By acquiring r-tec, accompio significantly broadens its cybersecurity services to meet the increasing demand due to the rise in cyberattacks and more complex threats.
The acquisition aims to create synergy between accompio and r-tec, offering customers a comprehensive range of IT solutions and cybersecurity services. The collaboration will enhance the group’s capabilities in defending against cyber threats, combining expertise from both companies. The industrial customers of accompio will particularly benefit from r-tec’s specialized knowledge in cybersecurity.
Despite the acquisition, the leadership at r-tec will remain unchanged. Founder and Managing Director Dr. Stefan Rummenhöller, along with Managing Directors Marek Stiefenhofer and Erward Arz, will continue in their roles, ensuring stability and continuity. This leadership structure provides confidence in the future development of the combined cybersecurity offerings.
